I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world title holder Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's greatest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in round four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
